Singing towel

For a bathtub-scene in the musical „Schuh des Manitu“ in which a bunch of singing bathroom stuff like sponges, brushes and even seals were supposed to participate they also required a towel puppet. It was my job to develop a plastic version of a sketch by designer Michael Curry. I tried to adapt the sketch into 3 dimensions without adding any kind of a personal touch.

Although the towel finally reminded me a little of Bernd The Bread the puppet still became quiet a likable guy I think. (But I’m not sure if they actually kept the bathroom scene in the play at all.)

Matt Piché has been responsible for the casting and the assembling of the final puppet.
